Hey y’all! My name is Jordan Simpson. I’m a Senior Environmental Management Major. I was born and raised right here in Gainesville, I fell in love with fishing at a very early age and started to competitively Bass fish at 14. I truly think Bass fishing is the most beautiful type of fishing, it truly teaches you many lessons especially patience, perseverance and humility. I took the President position due in large part to my passion of spreading the word on the joy’s of Bass fishing. The only thing I love more than catching Bass is being able to teach and help others enjoy it just as much as I do.
Roan Milelli: Vice President
Hi everybody! My name is Roan Milelli and I am a second year Civil Engineering student. I’m from Key West, FL and I grew up fishing and diving the keys. I started bass fishing when I moved to Gainesville and I quickly fell in love with it!
Tyler Ahlborn: Treasurer
Hello my name is Tyler Ahlborn and I am a sophomore finance major born and raised in southwest Florida. I grew up inshore saltwater fishing but quickly fell in love with pond hopping and bass fishing. That’s why before I even stepped foot at the University of Florida I was already looking for the bass fishing club instagram. Once I joined I immediately wanted to help this club anyway I could so I could help others find the same love I did for Bass Fishing. So I paired the two things I loved being bass fishing and finance and ran for treasurer of the club. That being said both of those things take second and third on my love list to a good top water bass bite.
Ethan Hodge: Secretary
My name is Ethan Hodge and I am a 4th year biology major. I serve as Secretary with the goal of growing the club and keeping our members connected. I grew up bass fishing in the Orlando area, spending time on the Chain of Lakes and pond hopping in my kayaks. Some of my favorite ways to fish are throwing topwater lures early in the morning and flipping docks.

Hi everyone! My name is Greta Moran and I’m a senior at the University of Florida studying Environmental Science. I started fishing when I was around 10 years old. I grew up in the Tampa area mostly fishing neighborhood ponds. Since before even attending the University of Florida I knew about the bass fishing club and that I wanted to be a part of it. It’s been one of the highlights of my UF experience! My favorite part has been getting to explore more of Florida’s lakes and getting to connect with fellow anglers.
